Four Ways We're Changing the World

Protecting wildlife. Educating children. Empowering communities. Supporting the vulnerable. All at the edge of Tarangire.

Our Mission

To empower marginalized and vulnerable children, orphans, youth, and communities through capacity building, education, health support, and sustainable livelihoods — eradicating poverty, ignorance, and discrimination while promoting self-reliance and social justice.

Our Vision

To ensure equal opportunities and a dignified life for all children, orphans, and youth in need — enabling them to reach their full potential while wildlife and communities thrive together in lasting harmony.

  • Founder's Story

From Seeing the Problem to Building the Solution

With over 20 years as a professional safari guide, our founder spent decades watching the beauty of Tanzania’s wildlife — and its painful collision with the communities that share that land.

When elephants cross park boundaries and destroy crops. When lions take livestock. When buffalos trample a family’s only livelihood overnight. The result is devastating: poverty, hunger, injury — and sometimes death. Widows and orphans left without support.

Ndovu Foundation was created to tackle this human-wildlife conflict at its root: by supporting communities so that wildlife becomes an asset rather than a threat. By educating children so the next generation has choices. By empowering women so no mother is left behind.

Today, our Day Care and Nursery School in Burunge B Village — just minutes from Tarangire — stands as proof that change is possible, one child at a time.

“Education is the one thing no one can take away.”

“The Day Care concept frees women to participate in economic activities — helping close the gender gap while children receive the education they deserve.”

— Ndovu Foundation Founder
